Covid-19

Dear Residents, Family, and Community Members,

As the situation regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we want to reiterate that the health and safety of our residents, their families, our employees and community support individuals are our top priority.

We are taking every precaution and putting preventive actions in place.

Those actions, among others, include the following:

A) Our mandate, always has been to create a secure and protective environment for our residents and today more than ever to limit their exposure, we are doing all their shopping, driving them to essential appointments and connecting them safely to their families and friends.

B) Our building is continuously cleaned as part of our normal course of business, and we will maintain rigorous standards including cleaning and disinfecting high-touch, high traffic areas.

C) We have always placed hand sanitizers throughout our building, ample amounts are available and we encourage their use.

D) Every employee is charged with the highest standard of personal hygiene as well as taking responsibility for doing their part in maintaining cleanliness in their work area. We are only allowing for workers solely dedicated to Carlton House residents to enter at this time.

E) We are ensuring our employees have the information they need to stay healthy and are going through daily screening procedures to ensure they meet our health standards. They are also required to wear masks and gloves.

F) We have reduced access to our Residence to essential visitors who are obliged to go through our entrance screening process, including temperature control and mandatory use of protective equipment.

Like you, we are taking this public health concern seriously. Our protocols are based on guidance from the CDC and other world, Canadian, and local health and government organizations, and their recommendations will continue to guide our protocols and plans. We will continue to stay informed and keep our residents and staff informed. We strive to be your safe haven and safe home, and we are totally committed to maintaining a safe environment for you and our employees.

Sincerely,

Stephen Clark and Judi Prewett
